 My favourite Lego activity was the car racing because It made me get really excited and I kept changing it and kept on modifying them to get better at the race.

My least favourite Lego activity was the Kaupeka activity because it was too hard to build because some wouldn't tell me what it was and I wasn't that good at building.

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was the car racing because It was really enjoyable and we got really creative with our cars.

The most challenging activity was the Kaupeka activity because It got really stressful with the building and normally I didn't know what some of the build were and it got really confusing.

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because It was a lot easier to build as a team than working solo and It was a lot more fun together and we would get really creative.

Kia Ora I am Rafa and I will be showing you what is a Growth mindset, the difference between a Growth mindset and a Fixed mindset is that a Fixed mindset is because they are the mindset that always say ¨Give up¨, ¨It´s not worth it¨. Should school break be longer

 Hi guys I am Rafa and Today I will show you a persuasive argument about how all schools should have longer break time, the reason why I agree is that we need Vitamin D and it´s good for us, sweating can be really good for us. Would you agree?

Should school break times be longer?

If we didn't have a longer break time, we would have been bored and sat down doing work for a long period of time.
We need longer breaks because it is exercise and we are not that bored that much would you agree?

 School is six hours long and we spent pretty much of those hours working.

Who would want to spend most of the time just sitting down and doing some boring work, we need it for Vitamin D.

Disadvantages: We would be even more hungry and thirsty, we would have been really tired and had less work.

Advantages: We would have had a lot of Vitamin D,

We would have a really fun time and we would sweat more which is really good for our body.

The average time of morning tea is probably around 25 - 30 minutes and lunch time is like 40 minutes.

How boring is that? Any students would want something longer than that like 1 hour or maybe 1 hour 30

All people should be vegetarians

Hi I´m Rafa and this week I will be showing you my opinion about All people should be vegetarians. It would be very bad without meat cause meat gives us protein and makes us healthier and stronger. 

What would life be like without meat

What is your opinion?

All people should be vegetarians

I think all of us should not be vegetarians because we need protein and protein makes you strong, healthy and taller.

Disadvantages: We would kill the animals for the meat, animal extinction and deforestation.

Advantages: It's healthy, has protein, makes you strong and not all animals are killed for food.

If all of us were vegetarians, we would only have beans and salad and not some delicious meat and protein, and If that happens a lot of animals would not roam the world and it would be an overpopulation of animals. 

Imagine in a party, this is what we would have: Salad, bananas, Almonds, Apples, fruits and vegetables, that would life be like without meat.

What happens if all of us become vegetarians?

My Top 10 Hobbies!

 Hi I´m Rafa and this week I am learning about hobbies. These are my top 10 hobbies, I enjoy them so much that I consider them as my hobby. The reason why Basketball is my number one hobby is that I can learn many new moves and improving my shooting. 

When you have a hobby, you don´t have to be good at it, its just something you like to do and try new things, you might have a hidden talent and you will consider it as a hobby

Should school ban junk food

 

Should school ban junk food

I think school should not ban junk food because it is the students own choice to eat what he wants. The 2nd reason is that they can just have healthy and junk food on the same lunchboxes. I think all schools should not ban junk food because some can give energy to the person and it helps not to get hungry. What if in a party we only had fruits and vegetables and not some tasty and yummy junk food.

We should not ban junk food because It can give enough calories for you to say ¨I am full¨. And we would just have a lunch box filled with healthy food and not some tasty food that gives enough energy for the day.

Pick a Path Fractions

 

Hi  I am Rafa, Today we were learning how to do fractions and how to solve them, we solved them by using skip counting. I made a Pick a Path about fractions, for those who don´t know a Pick a Path, It´s when you make math equations and the person has to solve them or guess. For my Pick a Path I did fractions, It is basically a Kahoot made up on a google slide. Have a go at mine!

Tumu Teams Birthday Month

Goal: Display data using a stem on leaf graph, choose an appropriate data, display using more than one variable, interpret information from graphs plan an investigation.

 Hi I am Rafa, and I am going to show you my charts on Birthdays,  and what is the most popular Birthday. We collected data of the Tumu´s Birthday Months, we collected the data by doing one team and saying one month to the people and the people would stand up if that´s their birthday. It turns out that April is the most popular month.

 We did some statements about the chart and the differences of them, like April the most popular month and July is the rarest month because only one person has that birthday. When is your birthday and what do you think is the most popular birthday?

Recount about Margaret Mahy

  On Thursday we went on a trip to Margaret Mahy Playground, Victoria Square. The Waka, Eels and the Mats to learn about its past and how the Moari lived there. When we went to the Waka first, the instructor did some commands in moari. The first command means “UP!” so we had to raise our paddles up, then the second command means “Down!” and that means paddles down, third command was putting your paddles in a 45 degree angle, and last was paddles ready and we swing and swing.

My favourite part of the trip was Victoria Square.

 We learned a lot about it like Captain James Cook, its past selves and Queen Victoria. Before it was called Victoria Square, it was called Market Square where Moari would use to trade food. Today, there are ancient artifacts like a Totem Pou and Moari Carving and statues of Queen Victoria and Captain James Cook.

Something I learnt was that people centuries ago used to go to Waka's before Margaret Mahy Playground was built and on the Waka. We would shout out “HI” “HA” over and over again.

The thing I found the most interesting was that on the playground, there are hidden messages in there about the past.

This trip has helped me with my PBL because it boosts my learning about Margaret Mahy, Victoria Square and my Turangawaewae. I learned so much about Victoria Square and Margaret Mahy.
